Dotson's Actions on the 4 Major Issues
Utility Tax - Voted
to put the utility tax on the ballot in 1997. When it was defeated by
71.5% of the voters councilmember Donahue voted to have it put it on the
ballot again in 2001.
Business - Many offices
are closed on the two major streets in Stanton (Beach
and Katella).
Employment - According
to the EDD, the city of Stanton is number 2 in unemployment. Stanton has
a 7.0% unemployment while the county average is 4.0%.
Crime - Has not produced
the plan showing how the city council's efforts have reduced crime
in our city.
