Carol Warren has been on the city council for a couple of decades. Refuses to create a plan to stop prostitution, homelessness, unemployment but was able to help raise taxes and fees on the businesses and residents many times. This is the exact opposite of what we need. Due to the new "term limits" councilmember warren will be termed out soon and unable to continue to run for city council.

Councilmember Hong Alyce Van

As soon as councilmember Van was appointed to the city council she helped to increase taxes on businesses and residents. It's common for the parks in her neighborhood to be filled with homeless which are sometimes puched out of the parks and into the residential area then over to the business area then to the flood channel then back to the parks then back to the residential area... Anyway, thanks to the "term limits" we voted for she is on her way out soon.

Councilmember Al Ethans

Quitter. Al Ethans on the city council for a couple of decades. Was unable to stop prostitution, homelessness, unemployment but, with the help of his wife and others, worked to raise taxes and fees hurting Stanton businesses and residents even though is promised to eliminate many of our local taxes during his election. After his last re-election to city council he quit just one year into his new term leaving his district with a councilmember they did not vote for. The damage he as done to our community continues.

Councilmember David Cadena

The City Council ousted Mayor David Cadena. Cadena said it was because of his attempt to discuss enacting a prayer before meetings. What??? At the time of his ousting Stanton Council Member David Cadena served the shortest term on the Stanton city council out of any council member since 1993.

Councilmember Rigoberto Ramirez

When Rigo first took office homelessness was not a major issue. But, over time things got worse and worse then when he went to run for city council he withdrew his candadcy near the last minute rather than face scrutiny in an election. During his time on the council Rigo worked to raise taxes and fees hurting Stanton businesses and residents. The damage he as done to our community cannot be undone.

Councilmember Brian Donahue

Was on the city council for a couple of dozen years. Was unable to stop prostitution, homelessness, unemployment remained high but Brian was able to work on raising local taxes and fees on the businesses and residents. Due to the new "districting" his neighbor was already on the city council so was unable to continue to run for city council.

Mayor Dave Shawver

Mayor Shawver has been on the city council for over 30 years and refuses to try to stop prostitution the entire time, stands by without a plan and watches homelessness take over our small town for the past dozen years. Mayor Shawver has lead many attempts at raising taxes and fees on the businesses and residents over the past 30 years adding to our high rents, high inflation, high population density, and high cost of living. Due to the new "term limits" Mayor Shawver will be termed out soon but continues to our city resources, city staff, and the city council to find a way to keep himself in office no matter how much more it will cost our businesses and residents.
